As companies continue to come forward to announce the billions of dollars they’ll spend in the next five to ten years on the next great electric vehicle, one company says they’ll actually produce an affordable, electric sports car. Tony Chan is the Founder and CEO of Ampere Motor, USA and says his cars will not only cost under $10,000, but they’ll have a range of 100-150 miles per charge. Watch Now
As companies like Ampere or Waymo aim to put electric and self-driving cars on the road, technicians will be needed with a skill set to repair these very complex vehicles. In Pittsburgh, Rosedale Technical College is tackling this problem head-on, according to the Pittsburgh Business Journal. Their report says the school is in the early stages of working with the National Coalition of Certification Centers to create a certification for students to be autonomous vehicle technicians.
