In northeast Albuquerque, New Mexico, Garcia Subaru North joined the Make-A-Wish foundation and fulfilled a special wish from a teenage brain cancer survivor.
As reported by KOB4 in New Mexico, this heartwarming story unfolded for 13-year-old Alejandro “Ale” Montano-Graham, who had waited a long time for his wish day to finally arrive.
Alejandro, who is currently recovering from a malignant brain tumor and partial loss of vision, was in for a surprise beyond his wildest dreams. The dealership organized a memorable send-off party in his honor, with a grand red carpet entrance and a luxurious limousine ride. But the surprises didn’t end there—Alejandro was granted a shopping spree at the local mall.
“We partner with Garcia Subaru throughout the year to help wishes happen, and so they made sure that Ale’s wish could be granted today and threw him a party to send him off in style,” Make-a-Wish New Mexico President and CEO Sara Lister told KOB4.
In anticipation of this event, Make-A-Wish New Mexico and Garcia Subaru North went above and beyond by shopping for Alejandro and his siblings ahead of time as well.
For the Montano-Graham family, this touching moment symbolized a beacon of hope and positivity after enduring the challenges of watching young Ale courageously battle germinoma brain cancer over the past two years.
“He is probably the strongest kid I know in the world. Like, the only time I have ever seen him cry was when he was gonna lose his hair,” said Rachel Graham, Ale’s mother. “I was scared for him for a while, but I’m so grateful that God brought him still here with us, and he’s doing good.”
