Rita Case, dealer principal, CEO, and president of Rick Case Honda and CEO of the Rick Case Auto Group, was named the winner of the 2024 TIME Dealer of the Year Award during the annual National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Show.
The award, sponsored by Ally Financial, is now in its 55th year and aims to recognize dealers who have made outstanding contributions to their communities. Last year’s winner was Gary Rome, president of Gary Rome Auto Group.
Rita Case, the CEO of the largest women-owned dealership group in the U.S., was chosen for her record of using her business to make positive impacts on those around her. According to TIME magazine, her efforts led to the creation of the Fort Lauderdale International Auto Show, which donates to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County. Case has also been the founding sponsor for 77 Habitat for Humanity homes in her home state of Florida.
“Rita epitomizes the qualities the TIME Dealer of the Year Award was designed to recognize—a relentless determination to make this incredible industry even better and to support causes that strengthen her community,” remarked Doug Timmerman, Ally Interim CEO, who also presented the award to Case at the 2024 NADA Show, alongside Jessica Sibley, CEO of TIME. “She paved the way for women in the dealership business and found innovative ways to sell cars while also working to provide those in need everything from housing and scholarships to healthcare and education.”
