Park Place Dealerships awarded $100,000 to over a dozen non-profits throughout the month of October as part of its third annual Season of Giving initiative. The dealership’s charitable arm, Park Place Cares, invited non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to apply for a one-time, annual grant.
In order to be eligible, the organizations had to meet the following requirements:
- Must be a 501(c) non-profit organization.
- Must support one of Park Place Cares’ Pillars of Giving, which includes education, medical research, children’s advocacy, and the arts.
- The charity must serve in at least one of the following Texas counties: Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, Denton, Ellis, Rockwall, Kaufman, Hunt, Wise, or Johnson.
- Must not have previously received donations or in-kind support from Park Place in 2023.
Last year, 23 NGOs were awarded grants ranging from $2,500 to $10,000 out of the 400 groups that applied. This year was no exception, as 18 NGOs were awarded grants.
According to Kara Connor, Park Place’s experiential marketing manager, “Park Place has been partnering with local charities in Dallas/Fort Worth and the surrounding areas for over 35 years. We have developed relationships with many amazing organizations who serve North Texas in meaningful ways. We are excited to learn more about these new recipients and learn how we can work together going forward to help them achieve their goals.”
