In a press release, Lucid Motors announced it will live-stream a global launch event called “In the Air and Beyond” on November 15, as it debuts the final two trim levels of its flagship sedan – the Air Pure and Air Touring. The EV maker said it will also offer updates on its business strategy and news about Project Gravity, its upcoming electric SUV, which is expected by the second half of 2023.
The company also tweeted about the upcoming event, writing, “There’s something in the Air – and beyond. Join us for a global Lucid Launch Event where we’ll unveil the full #LucidAir family to the world and provide a peek at our next force of nature.”
The two new trims put the total number of Air variations at five, including the limited-run Dream Edition, Grand Touring version, and the surprise Air Sapphire tri-motor version unveiled in August.
The Air Pure has a starting price tag of $87,400 and comes with a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive configuration. The Air Touring starts at $107,400 and includes the company’s advanced driver assistance system, DreamDrivePro. It also features a glass canopy. Performance specs on both vehicles have yet to be revealed.
Lucid Motors will allow the public to see all five trim levels displayed together for the first time at the Lucid Studio Beverly Hills following the launch. Derek Jenkins, Senior Vice President of Design and Brand at Lucid Motors, will be featured at CDN Forum LA at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 17.
