As dealers continue to prepare for the 2021 NADA virtual show, CBT News anchor Jim Fitzpatrick sits down with Cheryl Miller, Vice President of Operations for Dealertrack F&I Solutions, to discuss the challenges of digital workflows. Dealertrack is a leading provider of integrated dealership technologies, with sales and F&I software that improves the customer experience and the Dealership Management System (DMS) that boosts employee productivity.
Miller begins the conversation by discussing the changes that have occurred since the beginning of last year. A year ago, dealers were focused on building a great experience in the showroom. Miller says that dealers are now focused on creating a great experience online for customers. Miller says that research conducted by Cox Automotive shows that less than a third of dealers and consumers expect things to “go back to normal” in 2021. Consumers have different expectations when car shopping because of the growth of digital retailing during the pandemic.
Miller then goes into the features of Dealertrack digital contracting and digital contracting choice. Dealertrack allows dealers to stay in a completely digital workflow, in which they are able to select their own lenders. The contracting choice solution allows the dealer to submit the contract package to the lender for funding as fast as the same day.
Miller concludes the conversation by sharing more innovations for 2021. She says the company has been focused on its remote signing solutions, as well as building leads for its dealer clients. Dealertrack will be extremely digitally focused in 2021, helping retailers take that next step towards improving their digital operations.
