Holman, a leading global automotive services provider, has acquired Leith Automotive Group, headquartered in North Carolina. This marks Holman’s biggest retail acquisition in its 100-year history and almost doubles its retail automotive operations. Holman currently employs 4,500 people across nine states and has 58 dealerships and 34 brands.
With the addition of its first auction facility, Holman’s retail portfolio also now includes 13 new franchises. All of Leith’s facilities are located in Aberdeen, North Carolina, and the surrounding Raleigh area.
Both Holman and Leith are family-run businesses with a successful and expanding history based on enduring basic principles. Leith is committed to acting ethically towards its employees, customers, and the community. The agreement ensures the protection of Leith’s employees and brand.
“Our centennial year marks the celebration of the expansion and development of our automotive retail footprint, which began with a single dealership in 1924. This acquisition results from a comprehensive strategy, a lot of hard work, and vision aimed at positioning our employee-partners and our company for success over the next 100 years,” said Holman CEO Chris Conroy.
Holman President of Automotive Retail Gene Welsh highlighted the shared commitment to exceptional customer service and the integration of Leith’s 1,900 employees into the Holman family. As one of the largest privately-owned dealership networks in the U.S., Holman offers diverse automotive services, complemented by its certification as a women-owned business.
