Tesla Reaches Deal to Build Factory in China
Tesla and the Chinese Government have reached an agreement on the electric car maker building a new factory in the city of Shanghai’s free-trade zone. According to Fortune, details of the deal are still being worked out. Fortune says it’s the first of its kind for a foreign car manufacturer, and could drastically cut production costs for Teslas sold in China. Tesla sold $1 Billion worth of cars in China last year. Car Buyers Are Ready to Embrace Autonomous Vehicles, New Edmunds Report Reveals
As new announcements are released just about every week regarding the future of autonomous vehicles, it seems as if a new study or survey comes out at the same time regarding the thoughts of consumers on self-driving technology. In a new report by Edmunds, it is revealed that car buyers are much more ready to embrace autonomous technology than they may even realize. More than 40% of consumers said they would spend between 1-2 thousand dollars more for a vehicle that had active autonomous safety features. Read More
