Tesla and the Chinese Government have reached an agreement on the electric car maker building a new factory in the city of Shanghai’s free-trade zone. According to Fortune, details of the deal are still being worked out. Fortune says it’s the first of its kind for a foreign car manufacturer, and could drastically cut production costs for Teslas sold in China. Tesla sold $1 Billion worth of cars in China last year. As new announcements are released just about every week regarding the future of autonomous vehicles, it seems as if a new study or survey comes out at the same time regarding the thoughts of consumers on self-driving technology. In a new report by Edmunds, it is revealed that car buyers are much more ready to embrace autonomous technology than they may even realize. More than 40% of consumers said they would spend between 1-2 thousand dollars more for a vehicle that had active autonomous safety features. Read More
