When it comes to customers wanting self-driving vehicles, there have been some studies and surveys performed, but maybe not enough. However, studies don’t walk into dealerships and ask salespoeple if they can have more information. CNBC recently asked Mercedes U.S. CEO Dietmar Exler what his dealers are seeing when customers visit the showroom. Exler says that customers still want to drive cars. Watch Now
As customers continue to research online, many dealerships are adapting to the new ways car buyers are researching and shopping. While at the L.A. Auto Show, the L.A. Times reported that subscription services were a hot topic during panel discussions. Don Flow, CEO of Flow Automotive, told the Times that his dealership recently launched a car subscription program called “Drive Flow” to a limited amount of users. The program allows members to request a vehicle at any time through an app, which is then delivered by a concierge to a specified location. Read More
