A 500-mile battery that charges in 60 seconds?
When we look for game-changers from the hundreds of companies racing to be the best when it comes to electric cars and autonomous vehicles, Fisker has certainly become a part of the discussion with their recent announcement. Fisker has patented a car battery with a 500-mile range and can reportedly be charged fully in one minute flat. Henrik Fisker, the automaker’s CEO, explained to Fox Business how their new product will change things up. Watch Now
A huge break for dealers in Senate tax reform bill
One of the last-minute changes to the Senate’s Tax Reform Bill was a huge break for dealers. CNN says the Senate reform bill will lower taxes on many corporations, but in its original form, it would have meant higher taxes for most car dealers. Last Friday night, the NADA won a change in the bill that makes dealer loans exempt from the bill’s new interest deduction cap. Jared Allen, spokesman for the NADA, said that “without the change, you would have seen dealers having significantly higher tax liability.” To make up for that, he said they would order fewer cars from the automakers.
