Here’s some good news when it comes to car-shoppers wanting to purchase an electric vehicle in the future from your dealership. The $7,500 tax credit prevailed in the final version of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. The house version wanted to kill off the provision. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act included an NADA-supported amendment to preserve 100 percent deductibility of the floor plan loan interest. In a newsletter to dealers, NADA Chairman Mark Scarpelli said, “Reserving floor plan deductibility was one of the NADA’s top priorities for tax reform.” Watch Now
