On Monday, Jaguar revealed its latest concept car, the “Type 00,” marking a bold step in its journey toward becoming an all-electric brand.
The all-electric vehicle features a flamboyant minimalistic design, combining a boxy shape with sleek headlights and dramatic 23-inch alloy wheels. Its aesthetic is further enhanced by a long bonnet, sweeping roofline, and fastback profile, giving it a distinct look that sets it apart from Jaguar’s traditional sporty cars and SUVs. The concept car debuted in two vibrant colors, Miami Pink and London Blue, paying homage to British heritage and Art Deco influences.
“Type 00” is more than just a design experiment—it serves as a preview of what’s to come. Jaguar plans to launch several new electric vehicles in the coming years, including a highly anticipated four-door GT set to be revealed in late 2025. These vehicles will be powered by Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA), offering impressive performance with an estimated range of up to 430 miles on a single charge. Rapid charging technology will also allow drivers to gain up to 200 miles of range in just 15 minutes.
The unveiling of “Type 00” closely follows Jaguar’s recent rebranding campaign and the release of its “Copy Nothing” video, which stirred significant online discussion. While some critics questioned elements like removing the iconic Jaguar logo and the bold new visuals, Jaguar defended the campaign as an imaginative reinvention of its identity. Despite mixed reactions, the automaker remains committed to redefining its brand and delivering electric vehicles that challenge conventions.
This transformation underscores Jaguar’s determination to stand out as it transitions to an electric-only lineup by 2026. Type 00 embodies that ambition, offering a glimpse into the future of one of Britain’s most renowned automakers.
