Cadillac just unveiled the 2026 Lyriq-V, its first official electric performance car. It is the brand’s first electric V-series model, and it has earned Cadillac’s V-Series badge, which is a nod to exceptional performance, craftsmanship, and luxury.
This is an excellent continuation of Cadillac’s goal of offering a full EV lineup by 2030, which was jumpstarted with the release of the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ.
While there’s not much information available yet, Cadillac’s official YouTube channel released an official teaser video for the Lyriq-V. Only one official photo has been released, and the teaser video shows more of the model’s design.
The design differences are subtle, and the Lyriq-V looks incredibly similar to the regular Lyriq. It looks sleek and sporty with an updated grille, new bumper vents, and darkened trim along the door edges.
The SUV’s extensive list of features has yet to be released. However, the steering wheel features a V-branded button, likely unlocking additional performance features. Cadillac confirmed that every electric V-series model will come with standard all-wheel drive. This means that the Lyriq-V will have at least two electric motors that will likely produce more than 500 horsepower.
Cadillac’s V-Series just celebrated its 20th anniversary this year, and this exciting release will set the benchmark for Cadillac’s V-Series EVs. Additional information about the Lyriq-V should arrive within the next few months before its official launch in early 2025.
