Ford is revamping its Lincoln Navigator for the 2025 model year, introducing a 48-inch front display that doubles as a “sanctuary” for relaxation and entertainment. This new feature is part of a broader redesign of both the vehicle’s exterior and interior as Lincoln seeks to reinvigorate the Navigator amid declining sales in the large SUV segment.
The “sanctuary” mode, part of the “Lincoln Rejuvenate” feature, is designed to create a calming atmosphere for the driver. When the vehicle is parked, the mode can be activated to slide the driver’s seat backward, recline it, and initiate a gentle massage with slight warming. The experience is enhanced by climate adjustments, the release of refreshing scents like mystic forest and violet cashmere, and the display of relaxing videos and sounds, such as a waterfall.
For those who prefer a media-centric form of relaxation, the expansive front display can be split to play video and gaming apps while parked. Available games include titles like Asphalt Nitro 2, Angry Birds, and Beach Buggy Racing 2.
“The all-new Navigator is more than just a vehicle; it can become a home away from home and a third space that rejuvenates clients in an entirely new way on and off the road,” said Lincoln President Dianne Craig.
The 2025 Navigator retains its powerful twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine, which delivers 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. The SUV also comes standard with the BlueCruise advanced driver-assistance system, which allows for hands-free driving on highways.
Ford has not yet finalized the pricing details for the 2025 Navigator, but it is expected to start below $100,000, with more specific pricing to be announced closer to its spring 2025 release. According to Lincoln, the current Navigator models are priced between $83,000 and $114,000, with the average transaction price exceeding $101,300.
While Lincoln’s overall sales have increased by 23.4% year over year through July, the Navigator has seen a 21% decline in sales during the same period. The redesigned Navigator was unveiled during the prestigious Monterey Car Week and the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance car show in California, highlighting Lincoln’s commitment to redefining luxury in the SUV market.
