With the 2023 NADA Show arriving later this week, dealers are curious to know what will be presented by the show’s organizers. The last two years of automotive retail have been unpredictable for storefronts across the U.S., and with 2023 shaping up to be equally chaotic, business owners are looking for recommendations, guidance, and answers from the industry’s leaders. To explain what dealers can expect to see, Danny Renshaw, chairman of the NADA committee, joins host Jim Fitzpatrick on this episode of Inside Automotive.
Electric Vehicles will be a major focus at the NADA Show
The EV market is at the forefront of the car industry’s mind, as automakers, lawmakers, and drivers look to transition away from the internal combustion engine. Many store owners, while interested in selling and servicing electric cars, are concerned that consumer interest, infrastructure, and returns on investments will be too low to support their businesses. Renshaw confirms that EVs are a major emphasis of this year’s show. The NADA Show will expand on the previous year’s EV Solutions Center, to better answer dealership questions, showcase methods to assist fixed operations, explain original equipment manufacturer requirements and provide guidance on financial information such as tax credits.

Big brands and celebrities
NADA 2023 will be a massive show. Renshaw proudly notes that 500 companies will be represented on the expo floor. Dealers can also expect to hear from their favorite presenters. Speakers for the event include former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, and the first woman to serve as governor of South Carolina, Nikki Haley, legendary football coach Deion Sanders, political commentator Greg Gutfeld and more.
Networking opportunities
There are roughly 17,000 dealerships in the U.S., and none of them would operate without their management, sales, and service teams. Not only do they support their businesses, but they also represent the future of automotive retail. Renshaw promises that the NADA Show is an excellent opportunity for store owners to invite their staff members to the event, so they can network, see the industry at its best and understand the potential a career in the business holds.
The 2023 NADA Show is a can’t-miss event for retail automotive professionals. The conference is the best place for dealers to meet their colleagues, exchange ideas, gain expert advice, obtain valuable information on current events, and learn about the future of vehicle technology.
