Rob Kiernan

Age:
36
General Manager
Atlantic Honda
Bay Shore, NY

New York-based Robert Kiernan has a proven track record in management and sales as he has gained the title of General Manager at two different dealerships, namely Atlantic Honda and Hyundai of 110. Originally from North Babylon, New York, Kiernan has spent over 16 years in the industry and has consistently lived by his favorite quote, which is “what you put in is what you will get out.”

Kiernan entered the automotive industry at age 19 when a friend of his asked if he would like a job “driving cars around” as a porter. He accepted and eventually moved up within Atlantic Honda from Inventory Manager to Sales Manager, General Sales Manager, and ultimately General Manager. In 2023, he also took on the General Manager role at Hyundai of 110.

Kiernan’s success has not gone unnoticed in the industry, as his dealership is a Honda Masters Circle Winner and a Honda President’s Award Winner. He has also hit record sales volumes for Honda three times in the past seven years. Kiernan notes his proudest achievement, however, is leading Atlantic Honda out of the COVID-19 shutdown and resuming operations with a full team within six months despite uncertainty looming around New York’s strict lockdown restrictions. “It was so fulfilling for me to lead us out of a dark time,” he says.

Kiernan’s ultimate goal is to own his own store and “lead the next generation.” He says he has fallen in love with the industry since joining at age 19. “There is nothing else I could see myself doing,” he states, “I still have the same passion as I did when I first started.” Outside of work, he enjoys family time, sports card collecting, and – of course – being a car enthusiast.
